Overview

Hillsborough Community College (HCC) is a public, two-year institution based in Tampa, Florida, providing a comprehensive range of academic programs. Established in 1968, HCC has grown to include five campuses throughout the Tampa Bay area, with its main campus situated in an urban setting offering students both the vitality of a large city and proximity to Tampa's business and cultural districts. The college enrolls a diverse student body and is characterized by its open-access admissions policy, welcoming a broad spectrum of applicants. HCC is particularly recognized for its programs in health sciences, business administration, and information technology. While the college does not provide on-campus housing, it has established resources to support students in finding accommodation within the community. HCC does not field athletics teams that participate in intercollegiate sports, instead focusing on student development through its academic offerings and workforce training programs.

Hillsborough Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  9,062 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 10,442 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $1,931 plus fees of $575.
