Overview

Northwestern Connecticut Community College (NCCC), located in Winsted, Connecticut, is a public two-year educational institution founded in 1965. The college offers a suburban campus environment in the southern foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, providing academic programs in fields such as veterinary technology, nursing, and fine arts, which are among its most popular majors. NCCC does not provide on-campus housing options, thus catering to a commuter population. Despite its relatively smaller size and intimate setting, the college maintains an open admissions policy. Northwestern Connecticut Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  445 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 704 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $4,176 plus fees of $596.
