Albertus Magnus College

Overview

Albertus Magnus College is a private liberal arts institution founded in 1925 by the Dominican Sisters of Peace. Located in New Haven, Connecticut, just two miles from downtown New Haven and approximately 80 miles from New York City, the college presents a vibrant, historic campus noted for its gothic architecture. Offering undergraduate and graduate programs, Albertus Magnus is recognized for majors in areas such as Business, Criminal Justice, and Art Therapy. The college maintains a selective admissions process, emphasizing a more individualized review of applicants. On-campus living is available and includes a range of housing options from traditional dormitories to apartment-style living spaces. Albertus Magnus College does not have a major emphasis on intercollegiate athletics.

In the most recent statistical year 1,487 prospective students applied, and 1,197 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 162 enrolled in the school.  1,066 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 209 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $36,682 plus fees of $1,000.
