Overview

West Valley College, located in Saratoga, California, is a public community college established in 1963 within the suburbs of the Silicon Valley and approximately an hour's drive from San Francisco. Nestled in a residential area, the college's 143-acre campus is distinguished by its park-like setting, abundant with natural scenery and a diverse collection of California native plants. West Valley College offers a variety of academic programs, notably in the fields of business, science, arts, and health, catering to a broad spectrum of educational and career aspirations. While the college maintains an open admissions policy, certain programs may have more competitive entry requirements. West Valley does not provide on-campus housing but facilitates resources for local housing options. West Valley College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  2,003 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 4,510 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $1,380 plus fees of $110.
