Overview

Evergreen Valley College (EVC) is a public community college located on a suburban 175-acre campus in the eastern foothills of San Jose, California, within the larger Silicon Valley area. Established in 1975, EVC offers a wide array of academic programs, with a notable emphasis on health sciences, business, and technology. The college serves a diverse student body and has an open admissions policy, offering access to higher education for all applicants. While EVC does not have on-campus housing, it provides conducive learning environments with facilities designed to support student success, including modern science labs and a library with extensive resources. Major city proximity allows students to benefit from connections to San Jose's industry and cultural assets. Evergreen Valley College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  1,925 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 6,027 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $1,288 plus fees of $78.
