Viterbo University is a private Roman Catholic liberal arts institution situated in La Crosse, Wisconsin, which provides a serene campus setting within a vibrant river town. Established by the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in 1890, Viterbo's rich history is reflected in its campus architecture that highlights the Italian Renaissance style. With a focus on the liberal arts and professional development, the university offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, including notable nursing and performing arts majors. Viterbo's academic profile is complemented by an admissions process that is moderately selective. The university fosters a residential community with ample on-campus housing options for students.
