Overview

Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) is a public technical and community college located in Appleton, Wisconsin, approximately 30 miles southwest of Green Bay. FVTC was established in 1967 as part of the Wisconsin Technical College System and serves as an educational resource for both the local community and businesses. The college offers a campus setting that is characterized by modern facilities and a practical approach to education, focusing heavily on technical and career-oriented programs. It does not offer on-campus housing, as it primarily serves commuting students. FVTC provides a wide range of associate degree programs, technical diplomas, and certificate courses, with particular emphasis on aviation, public safety, and manufacturing sectors, reflecting the region's industrial profile. Known for its open admission policy, the college maintains a non-selective enrollment process, welcoming a diverse student body seeking vocational skills and continuing education opportunities. Fox Valley Technical College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  1,892 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 9,289 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $4,304 plus fees of $522.
