Overview

Southern Vermont College, located in Bennington, Vermont, was a small private liberal arts college that underscored a personalized educational experience. Founded in 1926, the institution was nestled in the southwestern part of Vermont, near the borders of New York and Massachusetts, offering a pastoral campus environment with the historic Everett Mansion as its centerpiece, an embodiment of early 20th-century architecture. Prior to its closure in 2019, the college offered a spectrum of undergraduate programs with particular strength in healthcare, including nursing and radiologic sciences.
