Jarvis Christian College is a private, historically black college located in Hawkins, Texas, approximately 100 miles east of Dallas. Established in 1912, the institution offers a faith-based liberal arts education and has a range of undergraduate programs, with particular emphasis on business, education, and the social sciences. The campus exudes a serene, rural atmosphere, spread over a large land area, and features facilities that support both academic and extracurricular activities. Residential life is an integral part of the college experience at Jarvis Christian, with on-campus housing options available to students. While the college maintains a historical affiliation with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), it welcomes students from all backgrounds.
