Baylor is such an amazing experience that any single person on earth would love to go to. Sure it might be a little expensive but for a degree that you will never forget, you?ll just want to go to a college that you?ll never forget. Go to Baylor the second you go to Waco. You might even become famous from Baylor like everyone else!

If you're coming to Baylor for the unapologetically Christian atmosphere, I'd pass. It's here, but you have to seek it out. Drinking, drug, and sex go down in the dorms and most CLs don't do anything about it. Generally, the professors are good, but there are a handful of uppity ones who want to make your life difficult. It overall feels like a state school with bougie activities.

Baylor. Is. Awesome. Great sports teams, incredible academics. I am coming from out of state and didn't really have a ton of friends heading into Baylor but have found making friends to be incredibly easy here.

Baylor is a great school! I have really enjoyed my time here. The key to having a good experience is making connections. I joined a sorority this semester and it has been the best decision in terms of my social life. The Baylor campus is beautiful and the 20,000 student body size is perfect?big but not too big. Waco isn?t a very exciting place but it has a few gems if you know where to look.

First off, there is nothing fun to do here, Waco is ugly and everything closes super early/has weird hours. I'm not from Texas, so this place is a huge culture shock for me, and I feel very out of place. I was not expecting that, as a lot of people are from out of state. Almost everyone here is very religious and conservative, which I did not think would bother me as much as it does. For the most part people here do not go out of their way to be friendly or inclusive. The classes are also super hard, but I was aware of that before coming, so that doesn't bother me. One thing I really like is that the professors care about their students and what they teach. I will personally be transferring, but you might like it, especially if you are very religious and from Texas.

I'll get right to the point and tell you what I wish somebody would've told me before I came here. The school is small, I mean REALLY small. If you're expecting to have some crazy college experience full of partying, drinking, and going out, this is not the school to do it. It's just not here. Everything closes in Waco so early that by 10pm the only thing open is a Whataburger with a 30 minute line. There is no night life at all, we have a single bar that is mediocre at best. The sports here are really good, we have an amazing basketball program and a decent football program so the games are exciting to go to and the stadiums are rocking. Now on to the acadmic side of things. Baylor is one of the most prestigious schools in all of Texas. The academics here are extremely rigorous and require hours every day to keep up with it all. The academics here are also very competitive so if you're not wiling to grind out your grades, don't bother spending the $60k a year to come here, yeah you heard me right, sixty thousand dollars a year. The tuition is insane. So be prepared to work because there is only a 60% graduation rate here and it would suck to spend $60k a year to not graduate and have to transfer. The staff here is real friendly, the students are not your stereotypical Christians as one might have you believe, but a lot of them do come from daddy's money and have their noses in the air, but you will meet some good people here. With all that being said, I am about to graduate in a semester and I do not regret coming here at all. It's Waco and you learn to love it, well, because you really don't have a choice once you come here. I say all of this because it is what I wish someone would have told me before attending so I'm passing on my wisdom and experiences to you. With that being said, I am proud to be a Baylor Bear! Sic 'Em!

We were misinformed by the Baylor recruiter when applying to colleges. Baylor is not worth the money you pay a year. Even with scholarships. The Academic Advisors are inaccessible, misguide you and you are only allowed one visit with them per semester. The prestigious Biology department is not so. There was a petition in October 2019 with approx. 60 students on four of the Professors on their teaching. The classroom sizes are not small and the Professors do not care including the Religion Professor. Registering each semester is a nightmare. Classes are gone quickly and you are waitlisted only to find out you are dropped and don?t end up with 12 hours causing you to lose your scholarship money. Dr. Livingstone will dismiss your e-mails if you have an escalated issue that needs addressing. It has been a disappointing experience.

I think you must try very hard at this campus, and study a lot, but if you do, your time at Baylor will be a piece of cake.

Baylor?s student body is very accepting and there is people of all types. The academics are tough but that is what gets you an exceptional education. I have only had one professor that I disliked so far because of his grading policy. There are definitely parties if that?s what you?re looking for, but if you aren?t the party type, the party scene can be unnoticeable.
