Maryville College, nestled in Maryville, Tennessee, is a private liberal arts institution with a rich history dating back to its founding in 1819. Approximately a 30-minute drive from Knoxville, this college offers students a picturesque setting at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, marked by its recognizable Anderson Hall, an iconic example of collegiate Gothic architecture. The campus provides residential facilities, ensuring a majority of its student body experiences on-campus living. With an emphasis on a broad-based education, Maryville College is known for its strong programs in the liberal arts and sciences, and it maintains a moderately selective admissions process.
