It was a Covid year - but it was prison. Deans would sit in front of restaurants in town and threaten you with expulsion is you went in. Paying that kind of $$ to be treated like a child? No thank you. Also, administration acts all woke, but the student body is very white and conservative. Would not recommend.

People say it's a good academic school - the professors are good for the most part, but the students aren't particularly bright. They're just rich so their parents keep pumping in that tuition $$. It's also VERY Trump 2020 and there is NOTHING to do there unless you want to binge drink at the teen tiny Greek Village. The bar scene basically consists of Buffalo Wild Wings. And because it's a residential school, administration lords over you like children. I really don't understand what people see in this place, but to each their own. They did give me a ton of money to come so there's that.

If you are white and a Trump supporter, this is the school for you. The academic faculty seem to be very caring for the most part, but the student body is very monolithic.

Wofford is a fantastic small college. I loved every minute of my college experience there. Having graduated from a large high school with more than 600 students in my graduating class, it was nice to be on a small campus. My professors challenged me but also offered incredible support. It was not uncommon for my advisor to see me in the hall and call me in to his office just to chat and catch up. I liked the smaller class size and how accessible the professors were. Unlike larger research focused institutions, the professors at Wofford are focused on teaching. Some have remained life long friends. Interim at Wofford offers students an opportunity to explore non-academic topics and to travel. The alumni network is strong with physicians, lawyers, professors, chemists, biologists and news anchors all over the world. I obtained degrees in History and Biology and got in to my first choice of Graduate School.

Wofford is a beautiful school. If you are an outdoor person, who loves to hike, be outside and enjoy nature this is not the place for you. The outdoor club is a joke. The teachers are hit or miss some of them are fabulous some are the WORST. With all of that being said Wofford is a good school with some nice people. I am leaving Wofford but ended on good terms- I went to summer school!

I like Wofford, and really enjoy it. Unfortunately, they have very strict scholarship retention policies, and if one has a bad 1st semester and an OK 2nd semester as I've had, then one will almost certainly lose their scholarships. If you don't depend on them, you're fine. If you do, then you're screwed. For a school that brags about everyone getting scholarships, they don't do much to help students keep them if they have a bad freshman year. I didn't drink, but the party/bar stuff is said to be good. The students are quite nice, and the I.T. department is VERY good at what they do. The housing is excellent for anyone who isn't a freshman, and even that is above par for most colleges. The professors are wonderful (except for the Classics/Latin department, avoid them like the plague). Dating/social life is nice, though it's hard being single and seeing all of the happy couples. Value for money: the college is too expensive, but it is just about worth it.
