Overview

Westmoreland County Community College (WCCC), located in Youngwood, Pennsylvania, is a public, two-year institution offering a variety of associate degree and certificate programs. Founded in 1970, WCCC serves the region with a main campus in Youngwood and several satellite locations. The main campus is known for its modern, functional architecture set on a spacious suburban property, providing a focused academic environment with a blend of traditional and technical learning facilities. Situated approximately 30 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, the college allows for easy access to urban amenities while maintaining a distinct collegiate atmosphere. While the institution has an open admissions policy, emphasizing accessibility and opportunity for a diverse student body, academic rigor is maintained across its various programs. Westmoreland County Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  1,340 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 2,831 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $8,280 plus fees of $1,752.
