The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), located in the heart of Philadelphia, holds the distinction of being the nation's first museum and school of fine arts. Founded in 1805, PAFA presents an enduring history intertwined with the arts scene in America. The institution is renowned for its extensive collection of American art and its commitment to art education. Housed in a notable Historic Landmark Building, which reflects a grand architectural style, the campus provides a vibrant setting for artistic growth. While the academy is highly selective, it offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs specializing in studio arts and fine arts education. Campus life is rooted in a culture of creativity with facilities that include studio space for students but does not emphasize traditional collegiate athletics. Notably, student housing is available, offering residents convenient access to Philadelphia's rich cultural resources.

In the most recent statistical year 122 prospective students applied, and 102 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 10 enrolled in the school.  175 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 3 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2021/2022, excluding room and board, is $38,926 plus fees of $1,450.
