Wilberforce University, located in Wilberforce, Ohio, stands as the nation?s first private, historically black university, founded in 1856. Nestled in a rural setting and a short distance from the larger city of Dayton, the campus is known for its historical buildings and green spaces. Wilberforce offers a variety of undergraduate degrees, with a significant emphasis on the liberal arts, business administration, engineering, and STEM fields. The university's application process is considered moderately selective. Students can choose to live on campus in one of the residence halls provided.
