Malone University

Overview

Malone University is a private Christian liberal arts college located in Canton, Ohio, just about 60 miles south of Cleveland. Founded in 1892 by Walter and Emma Malone as a small, coeducational Bible institute, it has since grown into a comprehensive university offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. The campus features a suburban setting that spans approximately 96 acres, characterized by a mix of modern and historic architecture. Malone University provides on-campus housing options for students in residence halls. Academic offerings are broad, with notable programs in nursing, education, business, and theology. The University maintains a holistic approach to admissions, with a moderately selective application process. While Malone is not predominantly known for its athletic programs, it competes in the NCAA Division II as a member of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, and its teams are known as the Pioneers.

In the most recent statistical year 1,395 prospective students applied, and 1,082 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 211 enrolled in the school.  815 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 384 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $33,595 plus fees of $1,280.
