Jamestown College, officially known as the University of Jamestown, is a private liberal arts college established in 1883 located in Jamestown, North Dakota. The campus is situated in a small-town setting around 100 miles from the larger city of Bismarck, providing a quaint, focused academic environment. Architectural highlights include the collegiate gothic style of the historic campus buildings. The university offers a variety of undergraduate degrees across the arts and sciences, with nursing, education, and business being particularly notable programs. Admissions at the University of Jamestown are considered selective. On-campus housing is available to students, aiming to provide a residential collegiate experience. The university is also known for its Jimmie athletics, especially within the NAIA, where its teams compete in various sports, although the institution is not predominantly recognized for its athletic programs.
