Overview

Northern New Mexico College (NNMC), located in Española, New Mexico, is a public institution that began serving the educational needs of its community in 1909. Set approximately 25 miles north of Santa Fe, NNMC operates primarily as a commuter college without traditional on-campus housing, offering a range of associate and baccalaureate degree programs. Known for its strong emphasis on technical and professional disciplines, NNMC notably provides education in fields such as nursing, education, engineering, and information technology. With a predominantly open admissions policy, the college extends opportunities for higher education to a diverse student body. Additionally, while NNMC does not have an extensive athletic program, it does engage in some intercollegiate sports under its team name, the Eagles. Northern New Mexico College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  447 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 707 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $5,064 plus fees of $0.
