Overview

The New Hampshire Institute of Art (NHIA) is a private college located in Manchester, New Hampshire, within easy access to Boston. Originally established in 1898, NHIA provides a concentrated art education emphasizing fine arts, ceramics, illustration, and photography, among other visual arts disciplines. The campus offers a distinct urban setting, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere where students can explore the intersection of art and community. NHIA's academic profile is characterized by a flexible curriculum designed to nurture creativity and individual artistic growth. With moderately selective admissions, the institute seeks students who demonstrate a strong potential for artistic development. New Hampshire Institute of Art has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  315 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 22 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $25,590 plus fees of $2,490.
