Truckee Meadows Community College

Overview

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), established in 1971, is a public community college located in Reno, Nevada, offering over 160 degree and certificate programs in diverse fields such as liberal arts, sciences, and career and technical education. With a moderately selective application process, TMCC provides opportunities for career training, university transfer, and personal enrichment to a broad demographic of students. The college's urban campus fosters a practical learning environment set within the scenic backdrop of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. While TMCC does not offer on-campus housing, its close proximity to downtown Reno enables easy access to a variety of off-campus living options. Popular programs at the college include nursing, business, and logistics management. TMCC does not have an extensive focus on intercollegiate athletics.

Truckee Meadows Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  2,649 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 7,002 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $2,862 plus fees of $300.
