Overview

Creighton University, a private, Jesuit institution founded in 1878, is located in Omaha, Nebraska, offering both a vibrant urban setting and a campus noted for its remarkable blend of historic and modern architecture. The university enrolls approximately 8,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students across its nine schools and colleges, with a strong emphasis on the health sciences, including a renowned medical school and programs in nursing and pharmacy. Known for a moderately selective admission process, Creighton provides a comprehensive educational experience with a liberal arts foundation. Students have the option of living on campus in one of the residence halls or apartments, designed to accommodate a variety of student needs. While Creighton fields 14 Division I athletic teams known as the Bluejays, it is particularly recognized for its men's basketball program.

In the most recent statistical year 7,977 prospective students applied, and 6,038 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 1,028 enrolled in the school.  7,222 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 1,175 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $43,684 plus fees of $1,906.
