Fort Belknap College

Overview

Fort Belknap College, located in Harlem, Montana, is a public tribal land-grant community college serving the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation, home to the Gros Ventre and the Assiniboine tribes. Established in 1984, it operates as a part of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium, offering associate degrees and certificate programs that emphasize Native American culture, tribal sovereignty, and localized vocational training. The campus sits in a rural setting, providing a quiet atmosphere closely connected to the cultural heritage of the region. Academic programs at Fort Belknap College are particularly focused on Indigenous studies, allied health, and trades. Fort Belknap College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  98 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 17 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $1,740 plus fees of $670.
