Overview

East Mississippi Community College (EMCC), established in 1927, is a public community college located in Scooba, Mississippi. The college, situated on a rural campus setting, serves as an accessible point of entry into higher education for the surrounding population, including the nearby city of Meridian. East Mississippi Community College is designated as a Predominantly Black Institution (PBI) and receives federal grants supporting the school's efforts to serve low and middle-income Black Americans.
