Overview

Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) is a public, two-year technical college located in Rosemount, Minnesota. Founded in 1970, the college occupies a suburban campus approximately 30 minutes south of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area, providing a comprehensive educational environment for its diverse student body. DCTC offers over 50 programs, with particular emphasis on technical education and applied learning in fields such as Business and Management, Health Care, Technical Careers, and Transportation Technology. While it maintains an open admissions policy, programs may have specific entry requirements. Dakota County Technical College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  1,333 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 1,384 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $5,759 plus fees of $660.
