Overview

Massachusetts College of Art and Design, commonly known as MassArt, is a public institution established in 1873 and located in Boston, Massachusetts. As the nation's first independent public college of art and design, it stands out for its strong emphasis on visual and applied arts. In the most recent statistical year 2,598 prospective students applied, and 2,043 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 409 enrolled in the school.  1,673 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 266 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $1,030 plus fees of $13,540.
