Overview

Washington County Community College (WCCC), based in Calais, Maine, offers a unique learning environment in a rural setting with close proximity to the Canadian border. Founded in 1969, WCCC has developed a niche in providing career-focused education, with programs that particularly stand out in the realms of outdoor recreation, health occupations, and trade technologies. Washington County Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  168 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 337 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $2,880 plus fees of $807.
