Overview

Maine College of Art (MECA) is a private institution located in the vibrant arts district of Portland, Maine, offering a focused education in the visual arts. Established in 1882, MECA is nestled in a city known for its rich history and contemporary cultural scene, approximately two hours north of Boston. In the most recent statistical year 649 prospective students applied, and 480 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 98 enrolled in the school.  423 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 13 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $39,100 plus fees of $730.
