Overview

River Parishes Community College (RPCC), located in Sorrento, Louisiana, is a public two-year institution that offers a wide range of associate degree programs, technical diplomas, and certificate programs. Founded in 1999, RPCC serves the river parishes of the greater Baton Rouge area and focuses on providing accessible education and vocational training. The college's main campus features a contemporary layout with facilities designed to support both academic and technical education. Although RPCC does not provide on-campus student housing, it creates a commuter-friendly experience with resources aimed at aiding non-residential students. With open admissions, RPCC is accessible to all applicants who hold a high school diploma or equivalent. River Parishes Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  1,160 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 1,179 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $3,335 plus fees of $744.
