Midway University, located in Midway, Kentucky, offers a predominantly undergraduate-focused educational experience with a rich history dating back to its founding in 1847 as the Kentucky Female Orphan School. Positioned on a scenic 200-acre campus in the Bluegrass Region, the university is approximately 15 miles from Lexington, the state's second-largest city, known for its vibrant equestrian culture and historical landmarks. The architecture of the university includes a distinctive blend of historic and modern buildings that complement its rural surroundings. Midway University is recognized for its equine studies program, reflecting the area's deep connection to horse breeding and racing.
