Overview

Hazard Community and Technical College (HCTC), located in Hazard, Kentucky, is a public institution that provides a range of associate degree programs, workforce training, and transfer opportunities to four-year universities. Established in 1968, HCTC operates with a focus on accessible vocational and technical education, situated in the Appalachian Mountains, approximately 120 miles southeast of Lexington. Hazard Community and Technical College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  796 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 1,760 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $4,368 plus fees of $192.
