Graceland University-Lamoni, chartered in 1895 and affiliated with the Community of Christ, is a private liberal arts university nestled in the rural town of Lamoni, Iowa, approximately 120 miles south of Des Moines. The university's campus is characterized by its historic and modern architecture, including the distinctive Higdon Administration Building, and provides on-campus housing options to foster an immersive educational environment. Academically, Graceland is known for its School of Nursing and offers a range of undergraduate programs, with education and business-related majors among the more popular choices. Graceland maintains a moderately selective admissions process. While not widely recognized for its athletics, the university competes in the Heart of America Athletic Conference with its teams known as the Yellowjackets.
