Overview

Briar Cliff University is a private, Roman Catholic institution located in Sioux City, Iowa. Founded in 1930 by the Sisters of Saint Francis of Dubuque, the university sits atop a scenic cliff in a residential area overlooking the downtown district. The campus architecture blends modern and historical styles, with notable features including the Chapel of Our Lady of Grace. Briar Cliff offers a liberal arts education with a variety of undergraduate degrees, popular majors including Nursing, Business, and Biology.
