Overview

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, founded in 1840, is a private Catholic liberal arts college located in Saint Mary of the Woods, Indiana, just northwest of Terre Haute. As the oldest Catholic college in Indiana, it has a longstanding tradition of providing a comprehensive education that emphasizes leadership and service. The campus is characterized by its historic architecture, primarily in the French Gothic Revival style, and is nestled within a serene, wooded landscape fostering a tranquil academic environment. In the most recent statistical year 971 prospective students applied, and 759 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 200 enrolled in the school.  832 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 315 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $31,150 plus fees of $1,550.
