Greenville University

Overview

Founded in 1892, Greenville University is a private liberal arts institution located in Greenville, Illinois, approximately 50 miles east of St. Louis, Missouri. With a faith-based tradition rooted in the Free Methodist Church, the university emphasizes a Christ-centered educational experience. Situated on a suburban campus distinguished by its red brick buildings, Greenville University offers a variety of undergraduate degrees, with notable programs in digital media, music industry, business management, and education. Greenville University maintains a holistic admissions process that can be described as somewhat selective, taking into account academic achievement, character, and extracurricular involvement. The institution provides a range of housing options, including residential halls and apartment-style living for its student body. Although not primarily known for its athletic prowess, Greenville University participates in NCAA Division III athletics as the Panthers.

In the most recent statistical year 1,275 prospective students applied, and 1,200 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 230 enrolled in the school.  888 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 200 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $29,998 plus fees of $550.
