Overview

Yuba College, located in Marysville, California, is an established community college that provides a comprehensive academic experience for its students. It is situated approximately 40 miles north of Sacramento, nestled in the Central Valley. Founded in 1927, Yuba College stands as one of the oldest community colleges in California's community college system. The campus features a rural setting, giving it a tranquil atmosphere conducive to learning. Academically, Yuba College offers a wide range of associate degree programs, with noteworthy emphasis on natural sciences, public safety, and health-related fields. Although the school maintains a noncompetitive application process with an open admissions policy, it is committed to providing quality education and fostering academic growth. The campus does not provide on-campus housing, encouraging a commuter culture among its students. Not prominently known for its athletic programs, Yuba College nevertheless provides various sports opportunities, with teams competing under the moniker 'The 49ers' in the Bay Valley Conference.

Yuba College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  1,302 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 4,099 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $1,104 plus fees of $24.
