Mount St. Mary's University, Los Angeles, established in 1925 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, is a private, Catholic university primarily for women, with a heritage rooted in fostering the service to the community and a commitment to the education of women. Located within the city limits of Los Angeles, the university provides a picturesque setting with its two campuses, the Chalon Campus in the Santa Monica Mountains and the Doheny Campus near downtown Los Angeles, offering a blend of historical architecture and modern facilities.
