Overview

Merritt College, situated in the hills of Oakland, California, is a public community college providing a wide array of occupational certificates, associate degrees, and transfer programs to four-year institutions. Established in 1954 as a part of the Peralta Community College District, its campus offers a scenic view of the San Francisco Bay Area. Merritt College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  1,017 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 5,497 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $1,104 plus fees of $63.
