Overview

Clark University, founded in 1887, is a private research institution located in Worcester, Massachusetts, approximately 40 miles west of Boston. With a campus distinguished by its Collegiate Gothic architecture, Clark offers students a range of academic programs with a notable emphasis on psychology, geography, and environmental science. The university fosters a collaborative atmosphere within its compact, urban setting, providing undergraduates with both on-campus housing options and a variety of research opportunities. Despite its modest size, Clark maintains a diverse and inclusive student body. While admission to Clark is competitive, the university is committed to a holistic application review process. Clark's athletic teams, known as the Cougars, do not have a pronounced presence in intercollegiate athletic competition.

In the most recent statistical year 8,787 prospective students applied, and 4,422 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 703 enrolled in the school.  3,534 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 236 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $52,000 plus fees of $352.
