Yeshiva University, located in New York City, is a private Jewish research university founded in 1886. It comprises four campuses ? Wilf Campus, Beren Campus, Brookdale Center, and Resnick Campus ? each contributing to a distinct collegiate environment characterized by a blend of modern urban architecture and historic buildings. Yeshiva offers a dual curriculum combining secular knowledge in the liberal arts and sciences with Jewish studies, and is recognized for academic programs in fields such as law, business, medicine, and Jewish studies. The university maintains a selective admissions policy. On-campus housing is available, providing students with a residential experience. While Yeshiva University is not primarily known for its athletics, it fields a variety of teams, known as the Maccabees, in NCAA Division III sports.
In the most recent statistical year 1,615 prospective students applied, and 1,021 were granted admission. Of those admitted 636 enrolled in the school. 5,284 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 772 attend part time.
