Drew University

Overview

Drew University is a private liberal arts institution established in 1867 and is situated in Madison, New Jersey, approximately 30 miles west of New York City. The 186-acre campus is known for its forested landscape and Gothic architecture. Offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, including those in the arts, sciences, and humanities, Drew is also recognized for its theatre arts and political science majors. The college operates on a semester-based academic calendar and has a moderately selective admissions process. Residential life is a notable feature at Drew, as the university offers on-campus living options which accommodate a significant portion of the student body. While Drew does not have a large focus on athletics, it offers various sports programs and its teams are known as the Rangers.

In the most recent statistical year 3,855 prospective students applied, and 2,801 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 309 enrolled in the school.  1,717 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 375 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $43,074 plus fees of $1,100.
