Overview

Olin College of Engineering, a private institution founded in 1997, is positioned in the suburban town of Needham, Massachusetts, near the vibrant city of Boston. Distinguished by its modern architecture and a campus designed to foster innovation and collaboration, Olin College offers a specialized focus on engineering and related fields. The college operates with a project-based curriculum noted for integrating elements of entrepreneurship and leadership within its engineering programs. Olin maintains a highly selective admissions process, seeking a diverse and capable student body. This institution is recognized for its single concentration on engineering, with popular majors that include Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Engineering with a concentration in Computing, Design, or Systems. In the most recent statistical year 862 prospective students applied, and 165 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 75 enrolled in the school.  356 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 30 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $57,280 plus fees of $3,486.
