The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, located in the heart of New York City, stands as a distinguished private college recognized for its rigorous academic programs, particularly in the fields of architecture, fine arts, and engineering. In the most recent statistical year 1,500 prospective students applied, and 337 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 183 enrolled in the school.  938 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 20 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $44,550 plus fees of $2,270.
