Overview

Metropolitan State University, located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, provides an urban educational environment to a diverse student body. Founded in 1971, this public institution emphasizes professional and applied studies, offering undergraduate and graduate programs tailored to both traditional and non-traditional students. Among its academic offerings, the university is noted for its business, nursing, and education programs. While the campus does not support traditional on-campus housing, it facilitates apartment-style living arrangements to accommodate its students. In the most recent statistical year 612 prospective students applied, and 500 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 131 enrolled in the school.  2,663 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 3,631 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $8,571 plus fees of $1,113.
