The College of Idaho

Overview

The College of Idaho, established in 1891 and located in Caldwell, Idaho, is a small private liberal arts college that offers a distinctive educational approach through its PEAK Curriculum, emphasizing proficiency in multiple academic disciplines. The college's historical campus, set within a suburban environment, is proximate to Boise, roughly 30 miles to the east. Architecturally, the campus showcases a mix of modern and historic buildings, including the well-known Sterry Hall. With a student body of around 1,000, The College of Idaho provides a close-knit community with a majority of undergraduates residing in campus housing. Academically, the college is recognized for programs in biology, history, and environmental studies. The College of Idaho has a moderately selective admissions process, seeking students who demonstrate strong academic potential. While the college maintains various athletic teams known as the Yotes, it is particularly noted for its skiing and snowboarding teams.

In the most recent statistical year 4,490 prospective students applied, and 2,044 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 269 enrolled in the school.  1,065 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 17 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $33,825 plus fees of $805.
