Overview

Scottsdale Community College (SCC), a public community college established in 1970, is situated in Scottsdale, Arizona, a predominantly suburban area near the vibrant city of Phoenix. The campus is recognized for its distinctive architectural design which incorporates elements of the region's Native American heritage, particularly of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. SCC offers a diverse array of academic programs, with particular strengths in business, computer information systems, and film and theater, catering to a wide range of vocational and educational goals. The college is characterized by its open admission policy, welcoming a broad spectrum of students from varying educational backgrounds. While Scottsdale Community College does not provide on-campus housing facilities, it maintains an atmosphere conducive to learning in a close-knit community setting. Scottsdale Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  1,479 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 5,586 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $2,040 plus fees of $30.
