My short and honest review of Valley Forge is that if you are thinking of going there now don't. When I was a student there was lots of problems but the professors fought for us students. All I hear now is how bad the leadership has driven it into the ground. Throw in that the drama was terrible when I was there and the school has only shrunk. If you're looking for a Christian School look elsewhere.

Do your homework. Know and understand the character of the school. Why do you want to go to this particular school as opposed to another institution. I graduated from U.V.F before it had university status in 1990. It was my experience then and is probably still true to some degree that some students will enter having unrealistic expectations of what this college is about. I suggest viewing on it's merits as an educational institution and nothing more. Investigate how this college can assist you in preparation for life and the job market once you graduate. So far as it's merits as a "christian" institution that is pretty subjective and shouldn't be the final word in your choice of colleges.

This school is...something. If you come here for the education alone and absolutely nothing else, then it's great from my experience here. Otherwise...I would not reccomend Valley Forge. This school is not a Christ-centered school if you look at the student body. This school being small does not help either, as people love to make harsh judgments about one another, making sure that it is obvious. Also very immature as people gossip, spread rumors, and the campus is full of high school drama. The dorms are probably one of the most disgusting things about this school. Cracks in the walls, giant bugs crawling into the dorms, bees, poor HVAC, mold, bad showerheads, and so much more. I understand the school has been struggling with finances since the major incident with former faculty, but they need to be more wise with their money and take the complaints of students more seriously. Some positives of the school, however, is that security, the professors (not so much the faculty above them) and the education they provide are the greatest parts of UVF and I cannot thank them enough for all they do. To summarize my review, my personal experience at this school has been very poor. The student body is immature and judgmental, upper management is questionable, housing is terrible, BUT, the professors, education, and open doors that are created for future jobs are very appreciated. That slightly makes my money well-spent.

Possibly the worst experience I could have imagined. The spiritual atmosphere has gone downhill, good Professors have all mostly left, student life plays favorites, financial aid workers don?t understand how to do their job, the Athletics department can?t follow up, you wait weeks for an email response from any staff, housing is disgusting and falling apart, the on campus food is average at best, and the student body is overall not Christ centered. The entire situation is abysmal. There is really no other way to describe it. It pains me to say these things as my freshman year it was not nearly as poorly run as this current year (I just completed my junior year and will be transferring for my senior) and from what I understand from people I know who have attended recently there were not nearly as many issues as there are now. Overall, if you have any other options on what college to attend, chose that instead of Valley Forge.

The environment at Valley Forge was unwelcoming and judgmental. Students are immature, spread rumors, and it is overall just a hostile social environment. Everyone is fake and it gives Christianity a bad name.

This is a Christian College. It's great for people who want to go to a small school and have chapel multiple times a week. It's great for those who want to go into ministry or get a background in Christian teaching while training for a secular career. It is not for those who want to party and have sex. The school's goal is to draw you closer to God and educate you. If that is your expectation, you won't be disappointed.
