Overview

The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), located in the heart of Philadelphia, holds the distinction of being the nation's first museum and school of fine arts. Founded in 1805, PAFA presents an enduring history intertwined with the arts scene in America. The institution is renowned for its extensive collection of American art and its commitment to art education. In the most recent statistical year 183 prospective students applied, and 167 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 19 enrolled in the school.  154 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 18 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $40,500 plus fees of $1,600.
