Overview

University of Western States, located in Portland, Oregon, is a health sciences university dedicated to the advancement of integrated, patient-centered care. Founded in 1904, the institution offers a range of specialized programs with a notable emphasis on chiropractic education, as well as functional medicine, sports medicine, and clinical nutrition. Its urban campus provides access to the diverse cultural and professional opportunities within the city. The university does not provide on-campus housing, encouraging students to immerse themselves in the local community. University of Western States has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  517 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 579 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $8,710 plus fees of $225.
