Overview

Tri-County Community College (TCCC) is a public, two-year educational institution located in the rural setting of Murphy, North Carolina. Founded in 1964, TCCC serves the southwestern region of North Carolina, providing a range of associate degree programs, diplomas, and certificates across various fields of study, with a particular focus on vocational and technical education. The college does not provide on-campus housing but emphasizes accessibility to education through both traditional and online courses, catering to a diverse student body, including adult learners and dual-enrollment high school students. While TCCC maintains an open admissions policy, encompassing a non-selective enrollment process, it is known for specific academic programs such as nursing, automotive systems technology, and cosmetology. Tri County Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  257 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 631 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $2,304 plus fees of $59.
