Overview

Saint John's University, located in Collegeville, Minnesota, is a private liberal arts college situated approximately 75 miles northwest of Minneapolis. Founded in 1857 by the Benedictine monks of Saint John's Abbey, the university resides on a 2,740-acre campus characterized by its wooded landscape and notable examples of Marcel Breuer architecture. Saint John's University offers a range of undergraduate programs, with a notable emphasis on the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. The university operates on a unique partnership with the College of Saint Benedict, a women's college in nearby St. Joseph, which allows students from both institutions to take classes at either campus. In the most recent statistical year 1,592 prospective students applied, and 1,373 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 383 enrolled in the school.  1,534 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 111 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $50,950 plus fees of $1,214.
